Another EG Honda Civic with a Body KitBy
Bart Piotrowski on November 3, 2008 | 3 Comments
I found another EG Honda Civic on CarDomain.com with the same body kit I was aiming to get last summer. The car is painted gray and has shaved rear hatch lights and Lambo doors but still looks good with that front bumper.

Another Honda Civic Paint SchemeBy
Bart Piotrowski on November 2, 2008 | No Comments
I was reading some posts on D-Series forums tonight and found this post about a guy who wondering what paint scheme he should use on his Honda Civic Hatch. This was the same question I had last summer and never came up with an answer, but looking at these images makes it easier to figure it out. Click Here for his forum post.
Out of all his ideas I found these three schemes to be the most interesting and possibly one that will be my future paint job.

1993 Honda Civic Window Molding Aged and CrackingBy
Bart Piotrowski on September 25, 2008 | No Comments
Don’t you hate it when your outside window molding is all cracked and ugly. When you bought your Honda Civic Back in 1993 the molding was all black and nice, but over the years the sun and weather have deteriorated the plastic cover and now it’s just a nuisance to looks at. Well there is an easy solution for this and only takes about 20-30 minutes to swap out a new one or a better condition one from a wrecker.
I was looking at Honda Tuning and found this great writeup on how to do this fix. Click Here for the link.
And just in case you want the part numbers of those molding pieces I put them below so you can order them right from Honda brand new.
1992-1995 Civic Hatchback and Coupe Part Numbers:
Right Side
window molding: 72410-SR3-003
door sash garnish: 72430-SR3-003Left Side
window molding: 72450-SR3-003
door sash garnish: 72470-SR3-0033.0 If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

1993 Honda Civic How To Bumper Swap or RemovalBy
Bart Piotrowski on September 16, 2008 | 1 Comment
This is a 1993 Honda Civic How To bumper swap or removal for turbo installation.
Tools Needed: Philips Head screw Driver, 10mm Socket Wrench with Extension.
Step 1 Take a 10mm socket wrench and unscrew the 1 screw that is on the left and ridge side of the bumper just in front of the front wheels once you fold back the inner fender Depending if someone has changed the bumper already you might run into Phillips head screws instead of 10mm.Step 2 Use the 10mm socket wrench and unscrew the two 10mm bolts that are underneath the bumper. Please use the included image for reference.
Step 3 Use a Philips head screw driver and unscrew the 5 Philips head screws that are located on top just in front of the hood latch, once you pop the hood. Once the all the screws are removed you should be able to just pull the bumper right off and replace it if needed. For reinstallation just follow the steps in reverse order.

Bumper Swap Was a SuccessBy
Bart Piotrowski on September 7, 2008 | No Comments
The bumper and fender swap between the two Civic’s was a success, it was quite easy and only a few tools were needed. I pulled the bumpers and fenders off by myself but got some help from a friend to put them all back on. The reason for this swap was that my bumper and fender in my 93 Civic was all dented from rocks but the 95 Civic had a new painted bumper and a fender with only 1 ding. I will post pictures tomorrow as I didn’t get a chance to pull them off my camera yet. I also replaced the drivers side headlight on the 95 Civic because it had a hole in it and the inner reflective part was all rusting away. Check back tomorrow for some before and after pictures.

OEM Style Fog Light InstallationBy
Bart Piotrowski on May 30, 2008 | No Comments
I was looking thru some posts at D-Series.org and found a great writeup on the installation of OEM style fog lights. You can purchase these on the ebay for around $60 and they make your bumper look a little bit better if your not going to go with a body kit.
I found a place on the internet that sells both the Clear and Yellow versions of this kit. Here is the Link to the Do it Yourself Installation.

Body Kit UpdateBy
Bart Piotrowski on May 30, 2008 | 3 Comments
I found a Honda Civic on Cardomain.com that has the same side skirts that I want to install on my Civic. The owner attached the side skirts to the car and then molded them right to the side of the body so they look like their part of the car not just pieces of plastic that are attached. This is exactly what I intend to do with mine so the car looks like it came like this from factory. The front bumper is slightly different then the Bomber one I want but that’s ok, I like the look of mine better. The other thing about this hatch I like is the hood, it’s carbon fiber and it’s got a nice indentation in the middle, looks very sporty.
Below is the Civic with really nice side skirts and here is the Link to the owners page.

Possible Changes To The Body Kit Idea and PaintBy
Bart Piotrowski on May 29, 2008 | No Comments
So I’ve been thinking about the body kit for my 93 Civic and I think I am going to mix and match different pieces to make the kit look better.
I am going to use the Bomber Front Bumper [B-HC92BXF], the CB Style Side Skirts [B-HC92CBS3], and the XN Style Rear Bumper [B-HC92XNR3].
As far as the paint is concerned, I am going to stick with the original red that my Civic came with because it should be easier to buy and paint. Doing this will eliminate the problem with the inner doors and under the hood being a different color so this will fit my car better.
Candy apple red is a really nice color but from what I’ve heard and read online it’s an expensive paint job and tricky to do to make it look good.
